"Clothes" The Gap
On average, 70% of the District’s, 15,000 students and their families are in need of some assistance.
Clothing can change a life and can help our youth build the confidence to succeed. A warm coat, shoes that fit and a wardrobe of school clothing helps children and youth put their best foot forward every day.
Our vision is that all students will have the clothing they need to feel comfortable, confident and prepared to thrive.
Clothes the Gap will run November through December 17, 2021.
· “Clothes” the Gap drive is collecting toddler, youth, and teen gently used or new winter wear (coats, hats, gloves/mittens, boots), personal care items, laundry detergent and more.
· Donation drop-off locations: School District offices, 627 4th St., Sioux City or Foundation office, Clark Early Childhood Center, 4315 Hamilton Blvd., Sioux City
· If you’re interested in having a drop box and/or are interested in donating any of the needed items please contact: Mickey Nelson, Director of Operations, at 712-224-7490 or nelsonm@scpsf.org.
· Monetary donations are welcomed, and funds raised will be used to purchase items in demand. Your 100% tax-deductible donation* will purchase:
$15 Personal Care Items or laundry detergent
$45 - 1 student's coat, hat and gloves or boots
$90 - 2 student coat, hat and gloves or boots

$90 - 2 student coat, hat and gloves or boots
